Becky and I absolutely loved this wedding. Kelley and Erik were just the nicest people and were very playful and a joy to work with. Kelly got ready in the gorgeous Georgian Terrace and the ceremony took place at “The Castle on Peachtree”, a.k.a. “Rhodes Hall” in downtown Atlanta. Their wedding was just a few days after Christmas so we were blessed with festive decor everywhere we went. We really wanted to exploit the entire Rhodes Hall Castle (inside and out) but the weather was, let’s say, “uncooperative” that night. We took Kelley and Erik exploring during the reception and discovered that all access to the upper parts of the castle had been sealed off for repair. Undaunted, we decided to use the front porch for some of the romantic shots in the hopes of getting SOME outdoor photos including the castle. With the right lighting, (and our trusty umbrella) the rain turned out to be a really cool addition to the grandeur of the castle. They were such good sports and the joy you can see in their faces made it so easy to forget the weather and enjoy their special day.
Congratulations, Kelley and Erik – and thank you for letting us be a part of your amazing wedding. Blessings to you both as you start your life journey together!
